Merk & Kremont Team Up with Jovanotti for Summer Anthem OCEANICA

Italian DJ duo Merk & Kremont have released their latest single OCEANICA, featuring iconic artist Jovanotti, via Island Records / Universal Music Italia. Premiered earlier in June at the Nameless Festival, the track quickly gained traction as a summer favorite.

Built around a sample from Ralph MacDonald’s The Path, OCEANICA blends tribal house, global rhythms, and euphoric energy. The same sample was famously used by Ninetoes in his 2013 hit Finder, which became a global club anthem. The cover art for OCEANICA pays tribute to De La Soul’s 1989 classic 3 Feet High and Rising, recently showcased at MoMA.

The collaboration came together spontaneously, with Jovanotti recording initial vocals as a voice memo after a concert in Milan. Merk & Kremont describe the experience as “crazy beautiful” and full of positive energy.

With upbeat vibes and an infectious groove, OCEANICA is shaping up to be one of Italy’s hottest summer tracks of 2025.
