Purple Disco Machine Cancels Shows Due to Hearing Problems
Purple Disco Machine has cancelled several upcoming shows. The German DJ and producer is currently suffering from severe tinnitus and sudden hearing loss.
The artist, whose real name is Tino Piontek, explained that he has been living with tinnitus for around 25 years. However, his current symptoms are significantly more serious than previous episodes.
Purple Disco Machine is known for his distinctive nu-disco sound and gained international recognition with tracks such as “Hypnotized,” “Fireworks” and “In the Dark.”
Following medical advice, Purple Disco Machine is taking a break and has cancelled his performances until mid-July. He said the decision was not easy, but allowing his hearing to fully recover is now his top priority.
The artist hopes to return to the stage afterwards. Numerous fans, promoters and fellow artists have sent him messages of support and wished him a speedy recovery.
